Six-Inch "HBC Special" Huddleston Deluxe Trout Now Available!

Heavyweight Bass Classic, LLC and Huddleston Deluxe, Inc. are please to announce that the highly requested six-inch version of the Huddleston Deluxe Trout in the "HBC Special" color is now available exclusively through the HBC Store.

"I have been waiting for this one since the day that we released the eight-inch HBC Special Hudd," notes HBC co-founder Ron Cervenka. "I had a chance to field test a prototype of the new six-inch HBC Special at Clear Lake last month and smoked 'em on it. I had a seven, a six, and pair of fours on it in about two hours. There is something about this (HBC Special) color that absolutely drives Clear Lake bass crazy. I can't wait to try it on the Delta or at Lake Shasta on those big spotted bass up there. This thing is going to work everywhere," adds an obviously excited Cervenka.

Like its eight-inch big brother, the new six-inch version of the HBC Special Huddleston Deluxe Trout is white with a smoke back and comes in ROF-5 and ROF-12 models. "The six-inch ROF-5 can be deadly when retrieved quickly as a sub-surface bait," says Ken Huddleston, President and CEO of Huddleston Deluxe, Inc. "But my favorite technique is to slow-roll an ROF-12 around rocks, brush, and tules. The fish really seem to like the HBC Special color, regardless of where you fish it," Huddleston adds.

Like the original six-inch Huddleston Deluxe Trout swimbaits, both models have a heavy-duty hook built into them. They also have a hoop on the bottom to add a trap hook, if desired. "The way that the fish eat this thing, you really don't need a trap hook," notes Huddleston. "But we wanted to give anglers the option of adding an extra hook in case they are getting short-bit on the bait," he adds.
