Roboworm, one of the World’s most popular and successful plastic worm manufacturers, will be providing sample bags of plastic worms in an all-new prototype color to each Angler and VTO entered in HBC-5.
“We have been with the HBC since Day One and we want to continue our great relationship with them,” notes Mike Brakebill of the Newbury Park, California based Roboworm Company. “With each event, we like to get our latest baits and new worm colors into the hands of some of the best big bass guys in the world. This new worm color has been a killer for some of our pro staffers and we plan to release it as a production color some time next year. It’s similar to our Red Crawler color, but with an entirely new and unique neon bloodline color in it. It is deadly at the Delta and at ClearLake, and everywhere else, for that matter,” Brakebill adds.
“I’ve been field testing this new color for a while now and have had tremendous success with it everywhere I have fished it,” says Roboworm pro staffer and HBC director Ron Cervenka. “My team partner John Barron and I qualified for both WON BASS Team Championships this year with the help of this new color. Even though it doesn’t have an official name yet, I call it ‘Mike’s Magic’, because it was Mike Brakebill who came up with it and it works like magic. I’m kind of disappointed that Robo is planning to release it as a production color, because everybody will have them now,” kids Cervenka.
HBC-5 Anglers and VTOs will receive bags of the new Roboworm prototype color worms in the popular six-inch Fat Straight Tail and seven-inch Straight Tail sizes.
