“Although we believe in our products, they are not a silver bullet,” Gergely continues. “In addition to using our products, it is imperative for anglers to also put ice in their livewells throughout the day, especially during tournaments held during the hot summer months (such as HBC-5). We recommend freezing several bottles of water in 16 or 20 ounce plastic bottles (tap water is fine) and then dropping a frozen bottle into your livewell ever hour or so. This is quick and easy and it really helps reduce fish mortality,” Gergely adds.
