HBC-6 Set For Diamond Valley Lake on Friday, March 19, 2010

December 11, 2009

The much anticipated return of the HBC to Southern California will take place on Friday, March 19, 2010 at Diamond Valley Lake (DVL) in Riverside County. The event will once again feature its unique and extremely popular One Fish - Big Fish - Winner-takes-all format, with $10,000 being awarded to the winner (based on a full field of 50 Anglers). The winner will also receive a custom, hand-crafted HBC-6 Champions belt.

Each Angler will have a non-fishing Volunteer Tournament Official (VTO) in their boat with them to assure that all rules are adhered to. The VTOs will also be asked to video their respective anglers in action, with the VTO shooting the most footage receiving a special prize.

“Since the inception of the HBC, we have always had Diamond Valley Lake on our radar as a potential venue for an HBC event,” notes HBC co-founder Ken Huddleston of Huddleston Deluxe, Inc. “With the lake having been closed for nearly a year and soon to re-open for tournaments, we anticipate that some very large bass will be weighed in at HBC-6. It is common knowledge that DVL is an outstanding swimbait lake and there is no better month than March to catch trophy size bass there,” adds Huddleston.

Priority Entries for HBC-6 will begin on Monday morning, January 4, 2010 at 8:00 AM PST and will conclude on Sunday night, January 17, 2010 at 11:59 PM PST. Anglers who are among the Top-20 in the HBC point standings (including ties) and Anglers who finished in the Top-10 at HBC-5 receive Priority Entry status in HBC-6. The point standings and the Top-10 from HBC-5 can be found on the HBC website under the “Results” tab. Priority Entry Anglers who have not submitted their entry fee into HBC-6 by Sunday night, January 17, 2010 at 11:59 PM PST will forfeit their Priority Entry status.

Open Entries for HBC-6 will begin on Monday morning, January 18, 2010 at 8:00 AM PST and will continue until the 50-Angler field is full. Once the Angler filed is full, an Angler waiting list will be established in the order in which Angler waiting list entries are received (by date and time). Open Entries submitted prior to Monday morning, January 18, 2010 at 8:00 AM PST will be rejected.

VTO Entries for HBC-6 will begin on Monday morning, January 18, 2010 at 8:00 AM PST and will continue until the 50-VTO field is full.
