HBC-5 Angler & VTO Fields Now Set

June 24, 2009

Just as it has at each of its previous events, the HBC will once again send out a full field of 50 Anglers and 50 Volunteer Tournament Official (VTO) for HBC-5 on Friday, August 14, 2009 at the California Delta.

“HBC-5 will probably be the best HBC event yet,” notes HBC co-founder and title sponsor Ken Huddleston of Huddleston Deluxe, Inc. “In addition to some of the biggest names in trophy bass fishing, there are also a lot of well known Delta regulars in this thing. And even though some of these guys may not be as well known as the trophy bass guys, you can bet that they know the Delta intimately and know where the big girls live. HBC-5 is going to be an all-out slugfest between these Delta Rats and the Swimbait guys,” Huddleston adds.

HBC-5 Angler and big bass specialist Andy “Cooch” Cuccia believes that it will take a double-digit or perhaps even a “teener” bass to win HBC-5

HBC-5 will be staged out of Russo’s Marina on Bethel Island. In addition to an outstanding launch ramp, Russo’s also features covered slips with electrical hook-ups. It is also home to “Hook, Line, & Sinker-2”, a full service on-the-water tackle store, complete with gas docks. Anglers wishing to reserve a slip at Russo Marina for HBC-5 can do so by calling them at: 925-684-2024. Additional information about Russo’s Marina can be found on their website at: http://www.russosmarina.com.
